I have been on a quest. A quest to find a pair of jeans that fit. I am trying to remember the last pair of jeans that I had that fit really well. I think they were dark blue with pink pinstripes. They went really well with my oversized v-neck shaker sweater and "big bangs." Since then, it has been a long series of mediocre jeans that just didn't fit quite right.
I have tried countless stores, brands, and styles. I finally got fed up the other day, and went into a store with a reputation for having expensive jeans, thinking that maybe "you get what you pay for." No such luck. I tried on at least 10 pair. They were either too tight in the legs, or there was a 2 inch gap in the back of the waistband. Or they didn't fit at all!
Today, out of desperation, I went in to a little clothing store on our main street. It was a long shot, I knew. Usually, shopping for clothing in my community isn't very successful for me. To my utter surprise and shock, I found them!!! A pair of jeans that fit well! Levi's is now making a style called "curvy cut." They fit over my thighs and hips, and don't gap in the waist! And it gets even better--they were only $30! I am so excited! My next option was elastic waist. And I don't think I'm old enough for that, yet!
