Typical Brand of Crazy

Sorry--to the two of you who read this...that I haven't posted since I don't know when (literally, because I did something to my blog and now it doesn't post dates on my entries), but really...nothing is going on except for the typical brand of crazy around here.

~My sister came--and left--leaving me missing her even more, if that is possible.  But I was so glad for her visit and I am counting down the days until March.

~I have a pain in my left hip that seems to be exacerbated by running.  So I've been seeing a kinesiologist.  I've never seen one before.  I affectionately refer to him as the "voodoo doctor."  Not because I doubt his abilities--I don't. But his methods are a bit unconventional.   Everything he tells me makes a lot of sense. However, after 3 visits, he seems pretty convinced that my left hip pain is due to an injury to my (sorry, Dad, if this is TMI...)UTERUS.  The only "injury" that I can think of that my uterus has endured is possibly...BIRTH.  Four of them.  And that was quite awhile ago.  So we'll see...

~I planned a field trip for the virtual school last Friday to an old-fashioned candy factory.  The candy they were making and offering samples of?  Nope, not lemon drops, peppermint sticks, or even fudge.  Cough drops.  Eucalyptus flavored cough drops.  Seriously.  The kind of luck I have...

~Through a serious oversight on Brian's and my part, our beautiful oldest daughter was locked out of the house the other day, which resulted in an adventure across town and back for her.  I am not winning any "mother of the year" awards any time soon.

~I started reading that stupid book series about the vampires that is supposed to be so good.  Mostly because someone at M's "conservative Christian school" gave it to her to read and I wanted to preview it.  So now I am on the third one.  Not because it's fabulous reading, but because I've gotten caught up in the lives of the characters and now I have to see what happens.
~Brian joined Facebook, and in two days he's accumulated almost as many friends as I have in two YEARS!  But he is the nicer of the two of us...so no surprise there.

~M now wants a Facebook account, so I'm soliciting advice...should I let her?  or is 13 too young to have one?  I'm pretty sure there are people out there who think that 35 is way too old to have one, so maybe I am in no position to judge.

~Oh, and we got a notice from the utility company addressed to Brian with the greeting,  "Dear Sir or Madam..."  and went on to tell us that our increased water usage suggests that we may have a water leak.  How do you explain to the BPU that you don't have a water leak, you just have a pre-teen son who has finally decided that showering isn't hazardous to his health?

So really, nothing new here.  I'll post if anything changes.
