Random Thoughts...

~Has anyone checked out Google's new web browser?  Google Chrome.  It is awesome!!  I love it.  Brian is worried that his work software won't run with it as well as it does with Explorer.  Then I won't love it so much and I'll feel like a traitor for using it.

~I'm thinking that Sarah Palin is going to make this presidential race more interesting.

~Speaking of that...I got an email from a Bible study that meets on Wednesday nights saying that they weren't meeting tonight so that people could "become educated about the electoral process and watch Mrs. Palin speak."  Someone must have accidentally forgotten to send me the email about Bible study being cancelled last week to hear speeches made at the Democratic National Convention.  Hmmm....

~I have had three liberal males comment to me this week that they wonder how Mrs. Palin is going to be able to be vice president of the country with a four month-old.  This intrigues me.   I guess I really don't understand liberal feminism. Sarah Palin seems to be a great illustration of what I've always understood "feminism" to be.  Interesting when it isn't your party whose doing it...

~The weather here in "God's country" has been kind of fun.  I got to pull out some of my "fall clothes."  J wants to exchange all of the summer items in her closet for winter ones, which is probably a little bit hasty.  I'm sure we haven't seen the last of the 90 degree days...

~Should there be assigned seats on a school bus?  My daughter has an assigned seat on the school bus.

~I need to hire a time management/organization guru.  I can't seem to get enough done...Brian and I are both so busy with work that we are pretty sure that even together we don't equal even one responsible adult.  Monday, we forgot about N's guitar lesson and dropped him off 15 minutes late, and then proceeded to forget to pick him up, and Brian forgot to get M from school this afternoon.

~I love Papa Murphy's pizza--which allows me to profess that I provided my family with a home-cooked meal just because I turned the oven on.

~I have some dear friends who had to put their dog to sleep this week.  She was a great dog, and she will be missed by our family--especially our kids.  I am so sorry, guys.  If you happen to read this before I get a chance to call you, we're thinking about you and we are sad right along with you.

We had assigned bus seats when I was in the fifth grade and our school was in the country. Of course - that was a very long time ago so I'm not sure that counts! Thanks for the memory, though.

I'll come live with you and then maybe the three of us could come close to one responsible parent. I'm sure not getting it done here either.
