Question: Today I took two Advil for a headache, and as I was swallowing them down, I realized that I still had gum in my mouth! Yup--swallowed the gum with the Advil!
Now to the question...Does gum really stay in your digestive system for seven years?
And if so, what happens if Advil is caught in the gum?
Do I get a seven year, slow release analgesic??
Maybe I'll swallow a Percocet with my gum, next time!
*Sorry about the recurring medical theme--this will be my last medical installment, I promise!

My fifth grade teacher told me gum stays in you for 7 years, so I'm sure it has to be true.
