My "baby" turned six at the beginning of December, and since I was on a "blog sabbatical," she missed being the subject of my Friday 10.
As is typical for the youngest child, things usually come to them later than the others, or not at all. So here is your belated blog, Peanut!
Ten Things I Love About My "Baby"
- She is proof that God keeps His word--even if it takes 5 years. When my oldest son was about 2 months old, my oldest daughter, who was two, said, "Mommy, Jesus told me last night that He was going to give me a baby sister." Of course, I panicked and bought a pregnancy test! :o) Approximately 5 years and another brother later, my daughter got her promise from God.
- Her smile. She has these huge dimples in both cheeks and both eyes light up when she is happy.
- As I stated in an earlier blog, she is the child who seems to enjoy my company the most of any of my other children. Although this can get annoying, it is a wonderful confidence booster.
- She loves animals, especially dogs. I love this about her, because it isn't a quality that I have. So far, we have managed to pacify this love with every stuffed animal known to man, but I am sure the day is coming where we are going to have to break down and get a real, live D-O-G.
- You always know where you stand with her. When she was two, she got in trouble for something and was told to go to her room. She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said, "FINE!!" and stomped off to her room. I realize that this is bad behavior, but I choose open defiance over passive-aggressive behavior any day of the week!
- She is a complete extrovert. Again, not a quality that I have. It doesn't matter where we go, or if she knows anyone. She will have made a friend by the time we leave.
- She has big beautiful brown eyes. Just like her sister. Just like her dad.
- She is a "girly-girl." The pinker, the frillier, the more "bling," the better!
- Her two favorite people, my sister, and my friend, Julie, are also two of my favorite people.
- She still comes in to our bed in the morning--okay, sometimes the middle of the night--and cuddles with us. This can be annoying, but since she's our "caboose," I know that my days of having little ones crawl in bed with us are numbered. I am going to enjoy it for all it's worth!

Casey, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you! I hope you are all having a wonderful break. Be sure to tell your girls hello from Stella and I. We miss them terribly!
A few weeks back Stella was Student of the week at school, which involved taking pictures. She was so excited to take a very adorable picture of her and Johanna from the reception to school. I will have to put it up on my blog so you can copy it.
